🏅 We are very happy to inform you that Medcom’s modular propulsion system for electric and hydrogen-powered buses has been awarded in the “Buses Equipment” category at the 17th International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO. The awarded system uses silicon carbide (SiC) technology and consists of a traction inverter, a DCDC fuel cell inverter, battery charger and switchgear.   🏅 Medcom’s propulsion systems, based on the SiC technology, are used, among others, in the Solaris Urbino 18 Hydrogen - a vehicle that won both the award in the "Buses" category at Transexpo and the competition organized by the portal TransInfo.pl for a hydrogen-powered bus for MPK Poznań (Polish Bus 2023). These are further distinctions for the Solaris hydrogen buses. ❗ Solaris Urbino 18 hydrogen has been awarded the prestigious Bus of the Year 2025 title by the International Jury of the Bus of the Year. This historic win marks the first time a hydrogen-powered vehicle has received this honour. 🔴 The bus is equipped with Medcom’s SiC propulsion system containing a propulsion inverter, fuel cell energy converter and battery charger.
