Last week, our representatives took part in the Horizon4Poland event in Warsaw. It was a matchmaking event addressed to business and the scientific industry. The formula of the event brought the participants closer to the issues related to the Horizon Europe program, made it possible to get to know the offer of Industry Contact Points and allowed to acquire an international partner. #Horizon4Poland #Horizon2020 #HorizonEurope

The International Conference on Plant Nanotechnology 2024 is history now. We thank all participants, people, and entities involved in its organization. We are glad that for a few days we managed to gather so many people specializing in various aspects of plant nanotechnology and create conditions for them to talk, present their achievements, and get inspired by others. We thank our honorary patrons: Ministerstwo Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego & Polska Akademia Nauk. We thank the conference sponsors, ANCHEM sp. z o.o. & KENDROLAB SP. Z O. O. for their participation and support. We thank the entire staff of the Institute of Plant Genetics PAS, who supported the NANOPLANT team in organizing the event. We also thank our Partner Poznański Park Naukowo-Technologiczny for their cooperation. Will the International Conference on Plant Nanotechnology have a continuation? We hope so! Follow this profile to know our next initiatives! #icpn2024 #nanotechnology #plantbiotechnology #plantnanotechnology #poznanconference

There are 38 days left until the International Conference on Plant Nanotechnology 2024! We are pleased that we managed to invite distinguished guests from all over the world to a joint meeting in Poland. Acclaimed scientists will talk about the latest discoveries in the field of plant nanotechnology. Due to the great interest in the conference in recent days from participants, we have decided to extend the late registration deadline until September 20. However, we ask interested parties to register as soon as possible. We hope this event will be a chance to find inspiration, explore knowledge, exchange ideas, and connect with other researchers and professionals. The process of evaluating abstracts has already begun and their authors can expect a response from the Evaluation Committee shortly. #icpn2024 #nanotechnology #biotechnologyconference #nanotechnologie #biotechnologia #NanoPlant

Yogendra Kumar Mishra is Professor MSO at Mads Clausen Institute, NanoSYD, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), Denmark. Prior to SDU, he worked as group leader at Kiel University, Germany. He earned habilitation (Dr. habil.) in Materials Science from Kiel University in 2015 and Ph. D. in Physics in 2008 from Jawaharlal Nehru University (Inter University Accelerator Centre), New Delhi, India. He has introduced a new flame-based synthesis method for growth of tetrapod structures form zinc oxide and their highly porous 3D interconnected flexible networks. The tetrapods and their 3D networks have demonstrated many applications in engineering, agriculture, and biomedical fields. Additionally, tetrapods can be used as templates to create hybrid and new 3D materials. At SDU Sønderborg, he is heading ‘Smart Materials’ group with the focus to develop new materials for green and sustainable technologies. He is Humboldtian and recently honored with FRSC- Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry. https://icpn2024.pl/

How to communicate scientific archievements? How to create inclusive conditions in the workplace? In July, we took part in two intensive and important workshops. First, a meeting devoted to women in science and equal opportunities at work was led by Prof. Iwetta Andruszkiewicz from Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu. The panel discussion was attended by Prof. Sylwia Jaskulska and Dr. Grażyna Barabasz from the same university. Later, there was a very practical workshop on scientists' communication with professional and public audiences. It was conducted by Dr. Eliza Kania from Brunel University London. We thank the presenters and involved participants! #NanoPlant #womeninscience #InclusiveScience #equalopportunities

Last week, we were hosting two scientists from Portugal, Dr. Nicolas Schaeffer from the Universidade de Aveiro and Dr. Mónia Martins from the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança. It was a research visit with workshops, presentations, and discussions. Our distinguished guests conducted the training on #TXRF spectrometry and its applications. They presented the TXRF instruments and their calibration, sample preparation techniques, running samples, troubleshooting common issues, and data analysis. At the conclusion of the visit, we explored the joint research projects and funding opportunities. It was a very fruitful meeting. #spectrometry #nanoplant #txrfspectrometry #ipgpas
