✨Autumn School on Space Resources and Robotics✨ 👉 From November 12-16, 2024, AGH University of Krakow hosted the Autumn School on Space Resources and Robotics – an intensive educational program that brought together students from UNIVERSEH European University from France, Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, and Poland. 🚀 Participants had the opportunity to attend lectures and workshops led by experts from Poland and abroad, visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, explore the laboratories of the Space Technology Centre and learn about the activities of our student research clubs. 💡 Although the on-site part of the school at AGH has finished, the program continues ONLINE! Participants are working on projects which they will present in mid-December. 👉 International students were impressed by our university and the city of Krakow – and we’re delighted to hear it! We hope to see them again in future projects, and who knows, perhaps some of them will choose to pursue studies in Space Technologies, a new Master Degree program launching this March!

We are... on FIRE! 🔥🔥🔥 We’ve been hiding this secret for a long time but today we can finally make it official. The MXene in LEO project will be a part of the #IGNIS🔥 mission. 👉Within the mission, polish astronaut Slawosz Uznanski will conduct a number of experiments proposed by specialists in Polish industry and space sciences, and then developed in cooperation with European Space Agency - ESA. 👉 Ignis, meaning fire🔥 is a symbol of our new beginning in space flights. After 46 years since the last Polish manned flight into space, we are stepping into a new era - with the first Polish technological and scientific mission to the ISS! 🇵🇱 👉 The MXene in LEO experiment focuses on the study of MXene nanomaterials and MXene wearable devices made with bacterial cellulose that will be tested on the ISS. 👉 All is possible thanks to MXene in LEO Team: Shreyas Srivatsa Tadeusz Uhl Dagmara S. 🇵🇱 IGNIS oznacza Ogień 🔥 To symbol naszego nowego początku w lotach kosmicznych. Iskra innowacji. Ogon orła to płomień symbolizujący talent, zapał i motywację Polaków - naukowców, inżynierów, nauczycieli - wszystkich obywateli kształtujących naszą przyszłość. Razem jesteśmy ogniem. Wspólnie tworzymy IGNIS. 🇬🇧 IGNIS means fire 🔥 It is a symbol of our new beginning in space flights. After 46 years since the last Polish manned flight into space, we are stepping into a new era - with the first Polish mission to the #ISS. The IGNIS Mission is a milestone for Polish industry, technology, and science. It strengthens Poland’s position among the world's leading economies as a country with advanced technology. The symbol of the IGNIS mission is a white eagle spreading its wings, which represents Poland’s remarkable economic and technological development over the past 30 years. Its white-and-red wings refer to the Polish flag. The silver line above symbolizes the horizon, marking a new beginning in Polish space exploration. The constellation Scutum Sobiescianum visible on it is a constellation that can be seen with the naked eye in the night sky. It honors its discoverer, one of Poland’s greatest astronomers, Johannes Hevelius. The second “i” in IGNIS represents the ISS, which will serve as a platform for testing our technologies. Above the eagle’s wings is the silhouette of Orla Perć, Poland’s most challenging mountain trail in the Tatra Mountains. Orla Perć reflects the perseverance of Poles in overcoming challenges on the path of progress. The eagle’s tail is a flame symbolizing the talent and motivation of Poles - scientists, engineers, teachers - all citizens shaping our future. Together, we are the fire. Together, we create IGNIS.
