We have also successfully passed production process audits conducted by renowned certification bodies. Since 2017, JDR Cable Systems has been part of the TFKable Group. JDR specializes in manufacturing subsea cables for renewable energy applications. The connection of TFKable and JDR, both with extensive experience in subsea and land cables, has enhanced the expertise and supply chain capabilities of the TFKable Group. Our collaboration dates back to 2008. The partnership's first project involved producing 33 kV inter-array cables for wind farms, including notable projects like Greater Gabbard and London Array. They have since introduced 66 kV inter-array cables to the offshore wind energy market, including subsea dynamic cables for floating offshore wind farms. In 2022, JDR and TFKable celebrated their 50th contract for subsea cable supply, contributing to global wind farm projects in the US, Taiwan, the UK, and Europe. During the #Energetics held in Lublin, Michał Jaśkiewicz, Technical Manager of the Energy Storage Production Department at #TFKable, delivered a presentation as part of the panel "Conference – Energy Storage in Energy and Industry," which took place on 20th November 2024. The topic of his speech was "Energy Storage Management Using Artificial Intelligence." The presentation introduced an innovative approach developed within the proprietary energy management system #TFPowerPack, being created by the Energy Storage Production Department at TFKable. The research focuses on the application of #ArtificialIntelligence in managing energy storage systems, including their cooperation with energy exchanges. A key element of the project is the use of #MachineLearningAlgorithms to predict electricity prices over a longer time horizon. The presentation covered the entire process of problem analysis: from the selection of appropriate algorithms and data processing, through their implementation, to the launch and fine-tuning of the predictive model. The results show that the process of managing electricity buying and selling can be automated weeks in advance, positively impacting the stabilisation of the national energy system. However, the success of this approach depends on the proper preparation of data and the use of advanced machine learning algorithms. At the Energetics 2024, the TFKable team is showcasing a comprehensive range of cables and wires for various applications in the energy sector. Our solutions include cables at different voltage levels – from extra-high, through medium and low voltages, to specialised wires, including those designed for photovoltaic systems. Among the innovations is the TFPowerPack – a mobile energy storage solution that optimises the use of renewable energy sources (RES) and manages electric vehicle charging stations. This technology can be integrated with a photovoltaic farm, minimising energy losses and eliminating the need to shut down the system during sudden voltage spikes. We are also showcasing the capabilities of the High and Extra-High Voltage Laboratory in Bydgoszcz, equipped with five Faraday chambers, high-voltage generators up to 1000 kV, and an impulse generator up to 2400 kV, allowing for routine and type testing of cables and cable systems. TFKable also has two testing fields with 500 kV and 750 kV systems and 5000 A heating transformers, enabling full qualification testing of cables up to 500 kV, as well as prototypes of HVDC and EHVAC cables. TFKable Kraków Running Team team proudly participated in the 24th DRESDEN MARATHON on October 27, 2024. Our 10-person team tackled three race distances—the Mini Marathon (4.2 km), Quarter Marathon (10.55 km), and Half Marathon (21.0975 km)—achieving outstanding results.
