⬛ Another week has passed, another #ProductConfigurator has been released. This time, we’ve focused on a more ‘architectural’ object: the connection detail of 2 HEB beams. We’ve enhanced the configurator to allow for the generation of CAD drawings (PDF, with DXF support coming soon) and a 3D model (STL file). Additionally, we’ve addressed mobile device compatibility (tested with Androids, iPhones and iPad) 📲 💻 ❓We’re curious: What other file formats would you like to generate using a product configurator? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below. PS. There is way more in the making 🤖

"So what does Object do?" - I heard last week from a newly met designer. I froze for a split second, as I don't have a clear and concise answer to that question (highly dependent on who is asking). We have posted a couple of pictures here and there, but neither of them illustrates our process nor indicates the skills. There are no images that can fully show that: When necessary, we code. If asked, we help to design. Sometimes we teach. We do R&D whenever there is no existing solution to a given problem. "What is common for our activities, is the object - we're there whenever anyone needs to convert a virtual object into a physical one." Below is the video showing the solution space of a parametric model developed for Maria Smigielska. The final sculpture was fabricated with a 6-axis robotic arm, which posed a couple of fabrication constraints. The wires never touch or intersect, which was crucial for the assembly process.
