  • If we had a dime for every failure we heard about at this FuckUPs Night, we’d already be billionaires. As Dmitry pointed out, if you want a predictable journey with a perfect CV, you'd better get a corporate job. We want to thank all 100 of you for joining us on that evening, sharing your failures and lessons, and being ready to keep learning on the hard journey of startup life. And of course our speakers who shared how scaling too quickly can potentially destroy your long term value, issues on the way of switching the mindset from corporate to startup, impressive fuckups about bar neighbors and much more: ⚡️ Marcin Szalek Founder | Slowhop.com ⚡️ Jegor Perehod, Restaurateur | The Morning After, Gigi, Negroni Centrale, Legit ⚡️ Dmitry Matveev, Co-founder & CTO | Approveit ⚡️ Eleanora Barkun, Founder | Qlode Our special thanks also go to Tomasz Kolinko and Freespace for hosting us and supporting our speakers. P.S. You can find all the photos from the event here: https://lnkd.in/eNSXtu6V Fasten your seatbelts! 📸 Kate Ignashevich

Shit happens – that’s exactly what you tell your investors when you’ve burned through their money and have zero results to show for it. This was one of the most memorable takeaways from Fuck Up Nights by Ū Hub | Startup Community in Poland. It’s my second time attending this event, and honestly, it’s such a refreshing and inspiring experience. It’s always amazing to know, that people openly sharing their mistakes, learning from them, and coming back stronger hits differently. They're taking the lesson, don't give up and doing it better next time. Here are the coolest takeaways I wanted to share from the event: 1. If development is dragging on too long and you're spending your own savings, it’s totally fine to go back to a corporate job for a couple of years. You need to fund your life, after all. 2. Location matters – especially for businesses like bars and restaurants. Who your neighbors are can make or break you. If your business has neighbors like a police station and a guy whose life mission is to ruin yours, don’t expect anything good. This guy filed complaints everywhere, started a Facebook group, and cost them a great deal, including a potentially huge deal. 3. Don’t skimp on expert consulting. Thinking you can do it all yourself is a trap. Every dollar you spend on consulting could save you hundreds of thousands later. 4. Be realistic about B2B sales cycles. They’ll likely take 6 to 9 months. Don’t expect quick wins. 5. Don’t hire expensive managers too early. First, focus on perfecting your product. I genuinely loved being at this event – everything was top-notch: from the lineup of speakers to the quality of the service and the creative networking format. It was an absolute blast! Thank you, Veronika Lindorenko, you are amazing
