VIGO Photonics is a European manufacturer of semiconducting materials and instruments for photonic and microelectronic, specialized in MWIR and LWIR detectors and modules, produced with the use of internally-developed technology. The mission of VIGO Photonics is to provide fast and convenient, easy to use IR detectors at any wavelength from 2 to 16 µm, reaching fundamental BLIP limits without cryocooling. The past three months of the #PPVIGO internship program have been incredibly inspiring! 🌟 The dedication of so many individuals and teams has led to outstanding results that we are excited to share with you: 🎯 Numbers that impress: 📄 We received 250 resumes, showcasing immense interest in our program. 🎓 98% attendance rate – our interns stayed fully engaged from the first to the very last day. ⏳ 4320 hours of collaboration – hours filled with learning, exchanging experiences, and delivering meaningful projects that benefited both our interns and our company. 🤝 We invited 30 interns to join the program, and half of them continue to collaborate with us today. ✨ It’s amazing to share a common vision and look toward the future: At VIGO, interns gain practical knowledge, develop essential skills, and have the opportunity to continue their growth within our company. 🌱 Our internship program often marks the start of a long and fruitful journey – many participants from previous editions have become integral members of our teams and have been successfully shaping the future of photonics with us for years. VIGO Celebrates #Day_of_Photonics! 🌟 💪 We’re thrilled to inspire the next generation to explore the wonders of science and technology! 📸 As part of the DAY OF PHOTONICS, we had the pleasure of introducing students from ZESPÓŁ SZKÓŁ NR 18 w Warszawie to the fascinating #world_of_photonics. Together, we explored the mysteries of different ranges of electromagnetic radiation, learning how vision works and experiencing the power of lasers with an exciting balloon-popping experiment 🎈💥. The students also discovered the secrets of #infrared technology—an area where #VIGO Photonics excels. 🙌A huge thank you to Zofia Lorenc for organizing and preparing this engaging presentation! We are proud to have sparked curiosity and passion for photonics in these young scientists. We hope this is just the beginning of their journey into science and technology.
