Global HR Director
About the role
RWS is seeking an experienced Global HR Director to lead and develop our HR service delivery teams, responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of the end to end HR service, support organisational policies and procedures and contribute to the overall management of the workforce.
This role requires a high level of collaboration with HR leaders and other key stakeholders across the business to develop, implement, and maintain HR service delivery strategies and solutions that meet the needs of RWS employees and the business.
This role is pivotal in maintaining HR data quality, driving process improvements and enhancing HR team performance. This position requires a systematic and process-oriented approach, superior analytical strength, able to move seamlessly between strategic and ensuring that the detail is managed. Rolling up your sleeves is a key attribute.
The role will suit someone who loves reducing complexity to make simple things simple, so we can spend more time on the special moments, but who can acknowledge the constraints of what is possible in a fast paced, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Key contributor to the long-term HR Service Delivery strategy and roadmap
- Sets direction for the HR operations teams globally
- Manages and coaches the people services teams improving capability and performance, maintaining engagement and alignment to goals.
- Fosters strong partnerships with HRBPs, Finance and IT to leverage their understanding of colleague and business needs to strengthen the HR service delivery proposition
- Collaborates with COEs to leverage their expertise in strengthening HR services and offerings across RWS
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations across operating geographies
- Monitors HR service resolution and ensures adherence to service level agreements
- Constantly evaluates HR service delivery effectiveness and opportunities for enhancement, accountable for improvement outcomes. Makes a significant contribution to the HR technology roadmap
- Builds a culture of continuous improvement to deliver more efficient and effective global processes, consistent (and improved) employee experience and delivering HR service excellence
- Ensures a high level of HR data quality is maintained
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience of service delivery and process improvement, preferably within Human Resources
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing a large team in a global organisation
- Strong track record of championing & delivering continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong track record of working in fast paced, changing businesses where unnecessary complexity needs to be rooted out and addressed
- Knowledge and awareness of market leading HR technology solutions, and maintenance & continuous improvement of cloud systems & technology
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience/ awareness of working with work councils and/ or unions
