I thought it was superb, informative and entertaining. Also the post election analysis. Extraordinary so many pollsters got it wrong. Rest is Politics US very glad it is going to continue. Looks like being a roller coaster ride for the best four years. Could we have A Rest is Europe as wide ranging as possible, political but also how things ling Health, Education, are run in Europe.

Once my favourite podcast, I’m afraid they have rather lost the plot. Rory Stewart is in danger of being eaten alive by his own earnestness although at least he is fairly balanced. Worse though, and somewhat predictably, Alastair Campbell is not a plausible commentator because he is far too partisan. He held the Tory government to account, rightly, and cut them no slack on anything, but he is such an apologist for the Labour government that he is not capable of holding them to the same standard. He therefore won’t engage and shuts down debate on their more controversial policies. His response to the Trump victory was precisely the wrong one, still convinced that anyone who holds a different opinion to him must have been duped in some way.

Going to have to stop listening to this. The dumbing down from Rory, explaining the minutiae of every salient point is, infuriating.

The more you listen to the recent content these pair are putting out, the more you realise they are totally clueless and have completely normie takes on a broad range of topics. You know like the clueless guy down the pub trying to regurgitate a Guardian headline thy saw on the tube. Just to sound cool and informed. They got Trump winning so wrong and their agenda against his government without even considering the potential it could have. Even as a theoretical. Clearing the swamp of these middle of the road career politicians. How scary for them. Also what is with the constant warmongering with Ukraine, do they not feel its egregious how many Ukrainians have been massacred whilst they casually talk about sending billions more to prolong the devastation of the country. Pathetic.
