WWDC expectations for iOS 18, visionOS 2, Siri and more

WWDC expectations for iOS 18, visionOS 2, Siri and more

Benjamin and Chance run down the WWDC expectations, and debate whether reality will match the hype. There’s certainly a lot expected, with major new features for the iOS 18 home screen, Control Center, and a veritable AI infusion across Apple’s platforms. We give our thoughts on what we are most excited to see announced. Plus, Apple accidentally miscounted the number of GPU cores in the M2 iPad Air, and the Apple TV app may finally be coming to Android.

And in Happy Hour Plus, Chance embarked on a 3,500-mile road EV trip to his new house, and loves CarPlay more than ever before. He also updates us on how good the Vision Pro is as a travel holiday computer, and his smart home plans. Subscribe at 9to5mac.com/join.

I enjoy the podcast but it’s way too quiet

Love This Podcast Since Chance Came On

I was kinda wishy washy on this pod when it was Benjamin and Zac, but since Chance has stepped in I really feel like the show has hit its stride. I love the banter between them. Most importantly though, the hosts aren’t afraid to criticize Apple when needed, unlike another podcast that I listen to that also had a recent change of host. Keep up the great work guys!

Great podcast, just lose all the Twitter talk

Ben and Chance are a nice blend. Ben seems more technically knowledgeable and Chance is more on the fanboy side, similar to Zac. It’s a good back and forth of the different perspectives. The only thing I can’t stand is when they go on 10 minute rants comparing Twitter to threads. I don’t understand why that takes up space on an Apple centric podcast. Outside of that the podcast is great and always hits on the topics that came up that week.
