Very interesting.....

Who knew?? I found these podcasts to be very interesting and informative. It's refreshing to know that there are people out there who care enough to inform us of interesting facts that fuel our brains rather than the typical trash that floods us daily. Does anybody really care which celebrity went into rehab this week? This makes for much more interesting conversation around the "water cooler". Not to mention that it makes you sound smart :) Keep up the good work!

Not bad.
A review

This podcast is great like amazing I have been listening to this podcast for 1.5 years but sometimes when I look at the reviews they say “they get off topic” and other stuff like that but I think all the stuff makes it better. It’s kinda like you’re there with them and having a topic on some random facts or other stuff and I feel like that’s great. you’re not being dragged along like other podcasts but you’re having a conversation with them pretty much . So what I guess what I’m saying is don’t change from what you two have going on. P.S. you guys are the best!!!!
The quality of research varies

I loved this podcast until they did an episode on one topic that I’m already knowledgeable about. When I listened to their homeschooling episode, I was shocked to hear it described in only neutral-to-positive terms. Homeschooling can be done in a way that is beneficial for the child, that’s true. But homeschooling is loosely regulated, and children mostly aren’t required to come into contact with mandatory reporters. Abuse and neglect (educational, medical, and otherwise) are rampant in homeschool communities, especially fundamentalist religious ones. The state often doesn’t even know some of these kids exist (two of my friends were home births and didn’t get a birth certificate until they were 7 and 8). With regards to history, the hosts failed to mention that a major part of the rise of homeschooling in the 70s-80s was white flight following desegregation. Homeschooling is largely a right-wing phenomenon, with a lot of parents pulling their children out of schools to avoid “indoctrination” or “lies” like evolution. I know the hosts have a researcher but it’s impossible to do quality research when you’re putting out this volume of episodes, but this episode soured the show for me. This info isn’t niche by any means, and I can’t really trust what I hear on the show anymore. Source: I was homeschooled, also The Coalition for Responsible Home Education, Homeschool’s Invisible Children, and the John Oliver segment on homeschooling
