I love how Charles uses music and sound in his podcasts. Charles has a brilliant ear for sound and how it can help tell a story. This podcast led me to remember a history class I took my first year of college — almost 50 years ago — in which the professor taught about the grand history of China. It was fascinating to me that I had never heard that before. It also connected with a recent interview I heard of Jimmy Carter in which he said he discovered poetry by looking at the small yet profoundly meaningful moments in life. Bravo, Charles and team!

It is a great podcast. I can’t believe this history of Asians being brought to the Americas by Spaniards and the Pacific Ocean route of the Spanish coming to America is not well known and not taught.
