The University of Puerto Rico's Comprehensive Cancer Center is a public corporation which aims to deliver the best research-driven cancer care in the island using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates patient treatment, research, prevention & outreach. Our goal is to eradicate cancer, the leading cause of death in Puerto Rico. Our vision is to engage a core of scientists & health specialists that together can translate the latest scientific knowledge into initiatives that advance the war against cancer. Our goal is to become a NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the next decade. We boast a Research Center (basic, clinical, population) & provide patient treatments at our Radiotherapy Center & Comprehensive Cancer Hospital (opening 2016).
