I begin by clarifying a common vision that integrates individual goals into our broader objectives, helping each member see their role in our collective success. Open communication is vital, so I create spaces for team members to voice their perspectives and collaboratively identify priorities. By focusing on tasks that deliver the highest impact for our goals, we ensure that everyone’s efforts contribute meaningfully. How do you manage conflicting priorities within your team? My mantra on decision making has been' how will this decision impact the learners'. Suddenly it becomes clear what the next steps should be. You may also look for alignment with the Annual School Development Plan.

Leading with transparency and fidelity to the purpose of the building and district is key. This can be a daunting task but having courageous conversations 1-1 and whole group is the way to go. In addition to this, developing a shared mission, vision, and why is key to the success of the team. Positive and professional relationships will help that team align and will transfer of to student success! In the end, we are here for the students.
