#Algae are originally the foundation of the aquatic food chain, making their application in aquaculture a natural choice for nutritional purposes. They are used as the primary food source in the diet of rotifers, which in turn will feed small crustaceans, that will then feed the fish larvae in hatcheries. Besides the nutritional advantage, the presence of microalgae in the larval tank helps to: 💧 Stabilize water quality (they remove metabolic by-products and produce oxygen); 💉 Stimulate the immune system; ☀ Enhance visual contrast and light dispersion; 🐛 Control microbial composition in the tank. 🎯A4F and Algikey's presence in the AQUA24, in Copenhagen, was a great success! It was great to reconnect with familiar faces and to meet new prospects for the aquaculture market.
