Yesterday, the World Liquid Gas Association launched the "LPG Roadmap for Africa", which aims to expand access to #CleanCooking solutions across #Africa by increasing the availability of #LPG. This roadmap is a crucial step towards achieving full access to clean cooking in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2030. Leaders from Worthington Enterprises announced the #WestAfrica Clean Cooking Fund today at the World Liquid Gas Association #LPGWeek in Cape Town, South Africa. With more than 267 million people in the region still relying on traditional biomass fuels, this initiative aims to address serious health and environmental issues. Thanks to a $1 million commitment from The Worthington Companies Foundation, the #Fund will support projects focused on building the infrastructure, equipment, and training necessary for the widespread adoption of #LPG as a cleaner cooking solution. Recently, we had the honor of being interviewed by PIEP - Innovation in Polymer Engineering, where our CEO Tiago Oliveira shared valuable insights about our innovative approach. Amtrol-Alfa a Worthington Enterprises Company made its first major innovation with the launch of the Pluma cylinder in 2005, and since then the company has developed an innovation model that is still in use today. The importance of collaboration was also emphasized, as PIEP is one of the organizations that actively participate in Amtrol-Alfa's innovation meetings. On October 15 and 16, we had the opportunity to take part in the 16th edition of the Start Point Summit '24, the largest Employment, Entrepreneurship and Training Fair in the northern region, at Universidade do Minho. It was an enriching experience, which allowed us to meet students from different training areas, share our opportunities and values, and exchange ideas about the future of the job market. We also took part in speed interviews which showed us the immense potential and desire for growth of young talent. We want to thank the START POINT by AAUMinho for their excellent organization and everyone who stopped by our stand and participated in the interviews. We're excited to see what the future brings and how we can continue supporting successful career development.
