Game Dev Camp

The biggest event in Portugal for Game Developers. One of the top meeting points for both the local communities and professionals from all over the world. The first edition of Game Dev Camp, July 2014, brought together for the first time all of the Portuguese Game Dev community, and became a turning point for the expanding industry in the country. With last year’s edition, September 2015, the event grew massively to become a powerhouse for an entire ecosystem, bringing speakers from studios all around the world to share their experiences, inspiring a tremendous PR coverage and, most of all, supporting everyone that also wanted to take the next step with their game project. With a more-than-full-house of over 480 participants (beyond originally assigned capacity of 450), all of them done via email validation (the registrations were only open for people involved in the Game Dev industry), and with registrations being filled in less than one week, it quickly became the biggest event ever done in Portugal for Game Developers, largely surpassing the impact of the previous edition. Game Dev Camp lives and breathes by one principle: it is an event fully designed by the community, for the community. And our goal is to keep making it, every year, the main landmark moment for the industry, and becoming more and more a key conference at an international level. Over the past few years this event counted with the partnership of great partners like Microsoft, Miniclip, Unity or GameSparks, among many others.
