Throwback Thursday - From Glooma's inception to the present day Five years ago, Glooma was just a dream, a vision of a future where early detection of breast cancer is within everyone's reach. Today, we're incredibly proud to celebrate how far we've come. Starting with the vision of accessible early detection, Glooma has focused on research, development, and testing of a smart device designed to assist in breast self-exams. Now on its fourth iteration, the glove has been continuously refined based on user feedback from extensive pilot testing. These pilots have been instrumental in shaping our technology and ensuring it meets the needs of our future users. We're incredibly grateful to all the participants who have helped us along the way. Through these pilots, we've gained invaluable insights into the user experience, identified areas for improvement, and validated key aspects of our application and glove. We're still working hard to bring our product to market, but we're energized by the progress we've made. 🚀 Glooma at the Heart of Innovation: Our Journey in Silicon Valley! 🚀 Our co-founder, Frederico Stock, had the incredible opportunity to immerse himself in the Palo Alto and San Francisco startup ecosystem through the Start2 Group program, supported by aicep Portugal Global. During this experience, he participated in workshops led by industry experts like John Younger, Joshua J Amrani, Marvin Liao, Tae Hea Nahm, Chris Matthews, and Adam O'Donnell, gaining insights into critical topics such as negotiating and closing major deals, positioning & pricing, U.S. company essentials, investor empathy, product demos, and early-stage GTM strategies used by billion-dollar founders. Beyond the workshops, we were invited by Christian Byza to the House of AI, where we attended an insightful session on "International Founder Essentials" and connected with global founders, including Dasha Shunina, who kindly offered to support Glooma through her network. At the Startup Pitch Night at SAP Labs, Frederico had the chance to present Glooma’s vision and make valuable connections. To top it off, he also participated in the AI for Good Pitch Event, organized by Nabila Elassar, hosted by Gangesh Pathak, and co-hosted by Eli Al-Shamari, where he once again had the opportunity to pitch and expand Glooma’s reach. This experience has been invaluable for our growth, allowing us to learn from top minds, refine our strategy, and build a stronger international network.
