Things you should never do at a job interview ⬇ 👉 Bad-mouthing the previous company. Rightly or wrongly, this will generate mistrust in the new employer; 👉 Overly informal communication. While the interview shouldn't be overly formal, it's important to strike a balance. You should adapt your communication style to the interviewer, ensuring that it is respectful and appropriate. Remember, familiarity should not lead to complacency; 👉 Bring up the salary issue at the wrong time. Both sides know it's a fundamental topic, so there's no point in bringing it up at the outset or showing excessive concern about it. There is a right time for this; 👉 Failure to prepare for the interview. It's important to prepare thoroughly. The interview is a moment where you have limited time to convey who you are and whether you're a good fit for the role. Being honest and transparent about your skills and experience will allow both you and the interviewer to assess whether the role is a good fit. Don't exaggerate or undersell yourself, instead, come prepared with concrete examples of your skills; 👉 Maintain poor visual and vocal communication.
