What a STARTup Tour! 🚀 On November 21st, we hosted the STARTup Tour 2024, connecting students from Lisbon’s top universities with the city’s vibrant startup ecosystem. The journey began at Code for All_, where Martim Caldeira, Founder of MIGHTY, shared his inspiring story of resilience as he tackled the challenges of building a platform that empowers individuals to achieve their personal goals. Alice Segre, Associate at maze impact, explained how the organization supports impact-driven startups that address social and environmental challenges through innovative solutions. Manuel Nery Nina, Co-Founder of Goparity | Impact finance, highlighted their mission to democratize sustainable investing, enabling anyone to finance projects that contribute to a greener, fairer future. Finally, João M., Founder and CEO of Code for All_, spoke about their work in transforming education by equipping young people with the digital skills needed to thrive in the tech-driven job market. The tour continued at LACS, a dynamic workspace for big and international teams known for fostering productive synergy in its modern, art-filled space. Luísa Cruz, Co-Founder of MicroHarvest, introduced us to their pioneering work in sustainable food production, leveraging biotechnology to create nutrient-rich, protein-packed solutions with a minimal environmental footprint. Luca Bovone, Founder of Habyt, shared his journey of scaling a global co-living network, which reimagines housing by offering flexible, community-driven spaces tailored to the needs of modern urban professionals, with a strong focus on international expansion. We wrapped up the day at Tutto Passa rooftop, where stunning views set the stage for meaningful conversations and networking during our exclusive afterwork event.
