This is the global event for homeland security and safety in the Middle East. It provides the perfect forum for presenting the latest technological innovations in the area, effectively meeting the needs of the sector as a whole and also addressing current threats and dangers. The Milipol Qatar exhibition is being held every even-numbered year under the authority of HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Minister of Interior of Qatar and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). 🙌 If you are in the region, come say "Hi!" 📣 WORLD #DROWNINGPREVENTION DAY Today, we celebrate a very important day in our calendars. On this day, we remember: 🔴 Those who risk their lives to save others from drowning 🔵 Those who were almost caught in an irreversible drowning situation but survived ⚪ Those who did not make it out of a drowning situation and perished ⚠ Today, we ask you to reflect on all the three groups mentioned above and how they constitute the basis for a growingly wide knowledge and respect for the best practices to have when in or around water. 🌊 If you are going in the water today, have a look at what the World Health Organization has to say about Safety, take these tips with you and share them with others. 🙌 Let's create a safer maritime environment for everyone! If your initial assessment tells you a drowning person, or group of persons, may not be capable of holding themselves to U SAFE, you can simply get in the water with U SAFE and quickly approach them, for a quick rescue. U SAFE is powerful enough to drag along multiple persons and ensure that one trip is enough to bring everyone safely. ➕ Additionally, you may want to attach other accessories to U SAFE that will increase rescue efficiency. Thank you to VILLAGE OF BALD HEAD ISLAND for trusting U SAFE! ❤️ The Village's first U SAFE buoy was delivered last week. A few of the Village's Public Safety Officers were shown how to use it. In the words of these Officers: "U SAFE is a self-propelled, remotely controllable rescue device capable of quickly reaching a person in distress. This will increase our water rescue capabilities and allow us to rescue safely under the most adverse conditions." 🌊 As we approach the time of the year when most people flock from the city to idyllic places like Bald Head Island to enjoy their summer time, it is vital to have a U SAFE ready for any situation that prompts immediate action. 🌊 In the Northern Hemisphere, a concern has just returned. 🏖️ Trips to the beach, so cherished for diving into inviting seas and restoring the tan that was so hard to achieve last summer, are now becoming frequent again. ⚠️ The beach is as beautiful as it is dangerous. Those unfamiliar with the waters before them risk putting themselves in irreversible and fatal situations. Worse, they might drag others with them. 🗓️ As we enter the month that celebrates #DrowningPrevention Day (July 25th, 2024), we share with everyone, especially our Australian friends and partners, the latest drowning report in Australia for the year 2023. 📖 Regardless of your geographical location, we encourage you to read this report carefully. It helps us understand where the dangers in the water are hidden and what posture we can adopt to ensure all dives are made as safely as possible.
