We are proud to have contributed to the groundbreaking Tara Polar Station project, recently floated at CMN NAVAL (Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie) shipyard in Cherbourg, France. Commissioned by the Fondation Tara Océan and designed by MAURIC, this innovative design will play a crucial role in advancing polar research. Our involvement in this ambitious project included providing structural detail design for the Geode, a key component of the vessel’s unique architecture, and the coordination of all systems and equipment outfitting, plus its corresponding production information. Designed to drift with the ice pack, the Tara Polar Station exemplifies the state-of-the-art in polar research stations, and Vera Navis is honored to be part of this endeavor. We are currently engaged in the development of a specialized 123m Cement Carrier designed to optimize the transportation of bulk cement and related materials.
