In the current landscape, the topic of recyclability associated with packaging decoration remains an evolving subject. Market needs and trends are placing increasing pressure on raw material manufacturers within our sector. Nowadays, we have access to various studies from accredited and independent institutions that certify the recyclability of decorated packaging, considering specific techniques, raw materials, and decorated areas dimension. We would say that the “hot stamping” technique—which creates stunning effects like gold and silver—likely represents the highest level of glam in the luxury segment. However, to ensure its recyclability, certain prerequisites must be met. At WISTA.DTS, we work with accredited and certified suppliers and based on tests conducted by certified external independent research institutes, we know that by following specified standards, we can maintain the recyclability of our packaging—assuming we’re using 100% certified mono-material PP, PE, or Green PE packaging as the base.   ·   𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲'𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆? As this mindset gains traction, more raw material suppliers and manufacturers are innovating and testing their products to develop less harmful ingredients. They are conducting research and studies to reliably ensure that their materials do not compromise the recyclability of decorated packaging. This paradigm shift has led to increased exploration of the topic by all participants in the process. Brands play a crucial role by seeking certified partners who share the same vision for a sustainable future and environmental responsibility.
