Really busy times around the office! But let's take this time to appreciate one of the innitiatives that took our colleague, Inês Sobral Escoval, to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean! Here's her testimony: "This past month of February I had the opportunity to attend one of the most impactful conferences in the technology transfer sector, the AUTM Annual Meeting, held in San Diego.   This conference translated in one week of training in valuable skills for tech transfer professionals, negotiation and valuation of technologies, a considered number of talks approaching hot topics in technology transfer and entrepreneurship, and amazing opportunities to network. Alongside the learning opportunities it was also a great place to interact and meet the international community, the different cultures, and the impact that our work has on society.     #AUTM2024 #AUTMAnnualMeeting #TechTransfer #ProfessionalSkills #Networking

Last week, @IRIS answered to a kind invitation from Madan Parque to promote one of our missions, which is to engage with society, whether they're companies, individual inventors, investors or researchers. Pedro Almeida presented Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa's ecosystem, and all the opportunities available for collaborations. The session also accounted with a very nice pitch presentation of SurfRec from Afonso Maya. IRIS congratulates the success of the event and recognizes the importance of this type of events in the creation and strenghening of a mindset of collaborative innovation for Almada District, centered in NOVA FCT and all its infrastructures and professionals that can help develop the economy of the region.
