To explore the Digital Financial Inclusion for Youth Economic Empowerment project’s progress, I joined Silatech, as an Education Above All Foundation Youth Advocate, in Sri Lanka. We visited various beneficiaries to understand how the project’s efforts to expand access to microfinancing and bridge the digital divide are supporting youth entrepreneurs. Launched in 2022, the Digital Financial Inclusion for Youth Economic Empowerment project is a joint project led by Silatech in partnership with Gojo & Company, Inc.The project is currently operational in Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and India. To date, the project has reached over 60,000 beneficiaries, over 20,000 of which are in Sri Lanka, with plans to reach an additional 29,000. The project highlights the growing importance of microfinancing in promoting youth’s active economic participation, particularly women, and improving access to digital resources for underserved communities.

📚 Dans le cadre du projet “A Chance To RESET”, des formations de 5 jours ont été organisées à Casablanca. What an incredible journey! Our youth volunteers in the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024 trip in Marrakech gained invaluable insights into Morocco's rich heritage while embracing a unique educational experience. Through engaging with local traditions, participating in cultural exchanges, and attending entrepreneurial training workshops, they had the opportunity to work alongside local entrepreneurs and deepen their understanding of the business landscape. This transformative initiative, made possible by the collaboration of Education Above All Foundation, Silatech, Reach Out To Asia and Years of Culture, has opened new doors for them to apply what they've learned. The initiative focused on developing innovative startup ideas to tackle key challenges facing Moroccan communities. On the final day, H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani visited the volunteers, offering her support and encouragement.
