Since I turned 50, I've had occassional trouble digesting some "foods" like white four, dairy, refined sugar, fast food, and even some expensive resturaunt foods as well. I Take a 250mg charcoal pill one time for extreme gas, bloating and acid indigestion when needed and within 1/2 hour, all symptoms...

I will never take another Activated Charcoal capsule again. The pain/negatives incredibly outweighed any positives.

I started taking 300 mg of activated charcoal daily after reading it would help clean out my kidney and help them to function better. Prior to taking them, my GFR was 52 and 2 months later, it was 73, which I was very happy about. Other high lab values as well went down so I will continue to take it. No side effects at all. I was taking with my other meds and then I saw that wasn't a good idea, so I started taking it at a different time then other meds/supplements.

I do work abroad and often, the water is not good to ingest. I break open a tablet and brush my teeth with it and rinse with mouthwash. The downside is that it is a bit messy to use. Be sure to wash it off of areas where it may have spread.

It has helped with my stomach bloating and discomfort. I've taken it for 5 days now, but this evening when I blowed my nose back stuff came out! Anyone else had this happen?

I had gastric bypass surgery in 1976, a type that is no longer done due to a 95% failure rate. Anyway, it left me with severe diarrhea for years that forced me to take drugs to control with little success. I happened upon activated charcoal and within two hours, the diarrhea was gone. I take 2400 mg twelve hours apart, leaving a two hour window on either side so as not to conflict with any medications I may be taking. It works and it's cheap, and no side affects from the meds I had dealt with for... years. Read More Read Less

I have suffered for yrs. Walking has in the past always helped control it but lately was getting worse, even while still exercising. Purchased this on whim. Have tried all kinds of methods some from physician and always same affects. Gas would travel. And yes I know that sounds strange but it did. To my legs. Horrible leg pain, only relief??? Walking! Had to keep moving. Took me a few x's to figure this out. I've had friends who also suffered like this, one would have shoulder pain, another was constantly... being treated for chest pain. And all due to gas moving after taking some type of gas reducer. Until I purchased Activated Charcoal Capsules. I take one in morning with a lot of cold water, and again at night before bed. Eat a little with them as well. I take supplements that require food, I keep Charcoal Cap dosages seperate from Supp dosages by a few hours. Charcoal can reduce potency of yur good medicine. So far I'm having none of the usual adverse side effects. I try to eat right, smaller meals, no heavy carbs, etc... I have always had stomach issues, recently went Keto, and now I just stay low carb. I still, do not eat potatoes. Bread or pasta either unless they are Keto products. I also am huge water drinker. I hope this helps others. Read More Read Less

Ate some bad Chinese food. I had bad cramping, vomiting, diarrhea, cold sweat and hot flashes. Mixed with warm water, vomited again. Felt much better, like nothing even happened. Completely satisfied.

Helped me with reducing bloating and stomach pain from an accidental gluten exposure. I keep it in my purse at all times now. Downside is it helped somewhat by allowing me to burp up the gas. I could visually see my bloating reduce within 30 minutes/ an hour, still had an upset stomach but it definitely helped. Downside it did come out the ¢other end¢ black! For that reason I wouldn¢t take this everyday.

I have regular bloating and flatulence problems, but was taking the charcoal for another reason for a 3-week period. It did not help with the gas problem, no noticeable change whatever.
