I have chronic Gastritis from Bile Reflux Disease. Over the last five years I have tried many PPI's, Carafate and diet changes. Slippery Elm works excellent! Much better than all the other things I've tried. I've stopped all prescription meds but this herb for my stomach pain....

I've got ulcerative colitis and tried slippery elm for optimal digestive health. I tried 1 capsule a day for three days. Might be just a coincidence, but I had abdominal pain & diarrhea from the first day and ended up with a full-blown flare-up by day 3 with excessive mucus...

I purchased slippery elm powder from my local health food store for digestive issues, and within a few days of taking it I noticed the bloating, stomach pain and throat irritation was gone. I would make it like a hot tea each morning. I'd let it sit until the powder became slightly thickened then drink it. It worked wonders for me. I recently ran out and have now ordered the capsule version from Amazon. I'm hopeful that the capsules will be just as effective. I would recommend slippery elm bark for... digestive issues. I will keep it in my prebiotic regimen. Read More Read Less

Taking clean slippery elm capsules for globus and sore throat from silent reflux. Excellent results from day one. Omeprazole did nothing for my symptoms so I gave them up after 8 months.

My Gallbadder has been giving me grief for months on end. Everything I ate gave me Gallbadder attacks. I’d be crying from the pain using hot water bottles to help with the pain. Slippery elm has saved my life literally. I have no pain anymore I can eat what I want and live my best normal life again ! If you are looking for a natural remedy and you have sludge in your Gallbadder please give it a try. I drink it twice a day just a tea spoon mixed with honey and hott water. After or during a meal. Please... if you are reading this and you are wondering if you should try it. Give it a go it will make a massive difference but still see your doctor if you are still concerned. You will be amazed at the results slippery elm has given me a better quality of life. Read More Read Less

Amazing for IBS stomach acid but disappointed because it’s caused anxiety instead of helping it

I use for all G.I. Conditions from sore throat to diarrhoea. For gastritis i mix it with extra virgin olive oil and I get immediate and lasting relief. For diarrhea I mix with water only as olive oil is a laxative. I have used it as a mouthwash for sore gums and ulcers. Its a great all-round soothing anti-imflammatory. It does have a mild diuretic effect so take his into account. I use powder and not capsules.

My son was having bad pimples on his shoulders for a while and I had to deal with it. Made a paste from SEB and put it on his skin, shoulder, face and cover with bandaid. We did it only 4 times and his shoulders are clean. I used for my self for different skin problems as well, one time for dryness and UTI caused by PM. Now, I am using for Gerd in form of teas.

I've had GERD. After a course of PPIs (omeprazole) my MD down-titrated my dose and segued into Pepcid x 4 weeks (20 mg every morning, 10 at night). She recommended slippery elm tea with meals, during the pepcid phase. Then after off pepcid, slippery elm caps along with a few other supps. Gerd is gone baby gone! Slippery elm was an essential part of this process. I still use it to support GI health. Used Nature's Way Slippery Elm Bark capsules (4 caps three times daily)

I have been taking 1 teaspoon of slippery elm in a cup of warm water every day for about 1 month I was diagnosed with weak bones and I am 70 and it took me for ever it seems to get going in the morning. Now, I am so thankful and ready to go every morning and I will keep taking it. I have a friend that could not unpack due to the severe pain in her hip as she moved out west. After my recommendation to take slippery elm; she phoned me and announced to me I unpacked everything . I give it an excellent... result but also do your research to know and to be wise in taking other medication at different times. Read More Read Less

The caused first dose I took (half teaspoon) caused anaphylactic shock, and felt ill for days afterwards. So not harmless for everyone.

I had a very severe response to an antibiotic, causing excess stomach acid. The result was constant coughing, vomiting (caused by the coughing) and damage to my oesophagus. A health practitioner recommended Slippery Elm Bark from BioCare. I have been taking it for two weeks and the symptoms (which had lasted for weeks after I stopped the antibiotics) have completely gone. I noticed the effect immediately. It’s rare for me to write any review, this product was so effective that I had to write about... it. Read More Read Less

Helped the condition I was treating. Took 2 capsules a day and caused moderate bloating, gas and increased urination. Side effects are too much for me.
