Susan Livingston is a member of the Board of Directors of RFK Human Rights. During her 42 years in global financial services, she became one of the first female partners of America’s oldest and largest private bank: Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (“BBH”), founded in 1818.
Livingston was primarily responsible for the global expansion of the firm’s Investor Services business, helping found the Luxembourg subsidiary, two Dublin companies and helping establish a representative office in Beijing. She served on the international Boards of BBH.
Prior to this Livingston worked for the Department of Commerce and the US Trade Representative in Washington and Geneva. She has a masters in international law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She is fluent in both French and German. Livingston has served as Honorary Consul General to Luxembourg for over 20 years. Her lifelong philanthropic efforts have focused primarily on environmental causes and education, having established a number of high school and college scholarships.
