🚨Leaked EU Omnibus Proposal, simplification package for CSRD and CSDD. ‼️Major change: Only companies with more than 1,000 employees and a turnover of €450 million or more fall within the scope of the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and will need to report on ESG. Thefore the scope of companies required to comply with #CSRD is expected to be reduced by approximately 85%. CSRD: - Non-EU companies must comply with CSRD if they generate €450M+ revenue in the EU (up from €150M). - No mandatory sustainability reporting for listed SMEs. - Due Diligence checks reduced from annually to every five years. - Large firms can only request voluntary sustainability data from SMEs in their supply chain. - The EU will issue guidance first before setting limited assurance requirements. CSDDD: - Companies only need to assess direct business partners unless credible risks appear further down the chain. - Companies must outline actions but are no longer required to implement them fully. - If risks are found, companies can suspend partnerships instead of cutting ties immediately. - Only workers, direct communities, and affected individuals need to be engaged, reducing consultation burdens. - Liability for due diligence failures will depend on national laws, not an EU-wide rule.

We are thrilled to share that members of the Carbon Expert team have recently been trained on the CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) in the Czech Republic and proudly obtained certificates for compliance expertise by the Dubrink Academy ! This achievement reflects our commitment to staying ahead in understanding and navigating CBAM regulations, ensuring we can provide our clients with the most effective strategies for alignment with European sustainability requirements. A huge thank you to the exceptional trainers Jan-Joost den Brinker and Marcel Duits who guided us through this process and equipped us with the knowledge of compliance under the CBAM framework.

You might think we're in a forest. October was a full month for our business. Looking back to it, I would like to share our biggest achievement: CarbonExpert partnership with #KofertOrganic in the certification process of Kofert projects with the Swiss Gold Standard organization in order to obtain carbon credits due to reducing methane emissions from composting farms manure. For Carbon Expert, partnering with Kofert Organic, Kohshin Engineering Co, and Koshin Europe is a dream come true on the path of our development. We have always wanted to be able to contribute to EU projects for the development of sustainable agriculture in Romania. We hope to extend this project not only in Romania, but also in other parts of the world so that with the help of the Japanese Koshin technology and the research carried out by our partners over more than 50 years, we can reduce the amount of chemical fertilizers as much as possible, replacing them with organic fertilizers, full of nutrients. It is, eventually, about our health and sustainable living style. I would like to thank to Kofert wonderful team, Cezar Păun and Cătălin Badea, for including us in their sustainable journey.
