ebm-papst’s site in Xi'an, China, relies on renewable energy, with the new photovoltaic system expected to generate 1.45 million kWh per year – enough to cover over 25% of the site’s own energy requirements. Together with geothermal heat pump technology and LED lighting, this makes the site so efficient that the government of the Shaanxi Province has recognized ebm-papst China as a highly sustainable manufacturer. 50 Years of LAE – A Milestone of Innovation and Collaboration On January 13, LAE, our protective grille manufacturer, celebrated its 50th anniversary in Italy, marking the occasion with the inauguration of its new production facility. Since joining the ebm-papst Group in 2017, the company has built on five decades of innovation and growth. The celebrations were attended by Frank Mayer (COO, ebm-papst Group) alongside representatives from politics and business, including Gianluca Coghetto (Mayor of Besozzo), Marco Magrini (President of the Province of Varese), Mauro Vitiello (President of the Varese Chamber of Commerce), and Regional Councillor Samuele Astuti. In his speech, Managing Director Dino di Lucrezia honored the employees who have played a significant role in the company’s success. Since its founding in 1973, LAE has evolved from a small craft business into an internationally expanding company. Milestones such as the development of the first flat protective grilles, the partnership with ebm-papst, and the recent expansion of the production site have been defining achievements in this journey. “To be successful, you need two things: clear goals and a burning desire to achieve them.” With these words, Di Lucrezia underscored LAE’s vision for the future.
