The D3code global hackathon winner Leon Kipkoech, a software engineering student from Florida National University, presented his winning solution at UST's D3 event: Dynamic ASL Transcription for Video Platforms. The solution is set to revolutionize accessibility for the deaf community by making video content more inclusive and engaging through AI/ML models. Leon's solution was chosen from more than 7,000 registrations and 800 ideas submitted across 5 countries! D3code, which had previously been an India-exclusive hackathon, was extended to participants from other countries for the first time this year.
