There are plenty of iconic universiy campuses across Europe, but the IE University Tower is truly unique (see the photo below 🤯 ). We got an opportunity to see it from the inside and it was a special occasion. AI is a big part of what we do. Yesterday afternoon, we attended an engaging masterclass on Regulatory Sandboxes under the EU AI Act, led by AI policy expert Norberto de Andrade, PhD. This session, part of the Advanced Legal Program in AI Governance, Law, Policy, and Technology, highlighted the exciting potential of AI sandboxes within the EU’s regulatory framework. This topic will become increasingly important (and soon mandatory) as governments are preparing to take on regulation of the AI guided by the instructions from the EU. A huge thanks to Norberto and the program organizers for this thought-provoking experience at the intersection of AI, law, and technology! IE team, you were once again at the top of the task: Gracias Maria Serrano and María Fernanda Zacarías Chinchilla. Looking forward to the next great leacture.

Perhaps our Spanish is not perfect yet, but we do speak entrepreneurship 🚀 An inspiring evening at the US Spain Executives Community event in Madrid! We had the chance to listen to experienced entrepreneurs and investors like Jorge Lana, Gabriela Orille, Victoriano Izquierdo, Pere Pons, Gloria Gubianas Blanes, Marcia Maciel, and Felix Gonzalez Herranz, who shared “No Fluff, Just Facts” on the realities of growing and funding startups across borders. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 - 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱-𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿! 🚗 For years, 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱𝟰𝟮.𝗰𝗼𝗺 domain was the one that kept slipping through our fingers. Always just out of reach, with a price tag better suited to a yacht than a URL. We kept our eye on the expiry date, negotiated with dealers, checked in from time to time, hopeful that the tides would shift. But the price remained... epic. Until some days back in Sarajevo, during a friendly meeting at Mozaik Foundation Startup Studio on Titova Street, Azra Saric, Country Director for Bosnia and Herzegovina at HTEC Group, decided to take a quick look. And there it was: 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. Just sitting there, waiting for us to finally take it home. 🏡 Ten minutes later, and maybe one used car less in our backyard, Beyond42 had its rightful digital address. For us, it’s a small step closer toward a world where our clients’ businesses can continue to grow responsibly, leveraging immersive experiences and digital twins. But it’s also a reminder of what we all know deep down - some journeys take a while. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 78.000 steps later. We were definitely #EnRoute Our team had an incredible week at the EAIE 2024 in Toulouse! What is one of the biggest events of its kind connected educators, administrators, and industry leaders from around the world, all of whom came with one purpose: connect and share best practices and innovation in higher education. Kudos to EAIE: European Association for International Education team. The expo was our star of the show. With more than 300 exhibitors, it was quite an exercise to stroll among the booths (just see the beginning of this post). The work was all that easier witg fantastic partners like Via Academica Study Abroad. We also met some fantastic organizations that we look forward to staying in touch with: Fondacija Tempus , who hosted Study in Serbia booth. DEİK - Foreign Economic Relations Board hosted the most memorable dinner for partners, showcasing the fantastic effort that Türkiye is making towards being THE choice for International students. We met some cool people as well, in ordinary places, as well as over the table football game. These individuals should definitely make it to your LinkedIn network of contacts.
