Paving the Way for Stronger Power System Integration in South-East Europe. Today, as part of ENTSO-E 15th year anniversary event, the Transmission System Operators from the West Balkan Energy Community that are already members of the association — Elektromreža Srbije a.d. (Joint Stock Company Elektromreža Srbije), CGES - Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem AD, MEPSO A.D., NOSBiH and OST sh.a.-Operatori i Sistemit të Transmetimit, endorsed a historic Joint Declaration on Regional Coordination. This declaration was supported by all the interconnected European Union TSOs from South-East Europe, and has also been discussed with KOSTT who have been invited to adhere. This declaration, facilitated by ENTSO-E, outlines a new comprehensive cooperation framework for the West-Balkan TSOs within South-East Europe. All the concerned TSOs agree that this proposal is the best possible solution, that takes into account the needs and realities of all parts of South-East Europe, in accordance with European Union and Energy Community legislation. The proposal establishes the technical and market organisation in areas for the coordinated operation of the power system, and the trading and auction of electricity, by linking the West Balkan TSOs with the already organised areas of Central and South-East Europe. 🤝 Key outcomes include: 🔹 Strengthening electricity security and market integration. 🔹 Establishing new legal frameworks for seamless regional coordination. 🔹 Ensuring effective capacity allocation, congestion management, and revenue sharing. ENTSO-E believes in the common values of European electricity integration embodied by the cooperation of TSOs, and we are all confident that this proposal provides a realistic and shared path for the future of South-East Europe within the whole European power system.

📍 Today, expert teams from the National Electricity Market Operator- MEMO Ltd and Elektromreža Srbije a.d. (Joint Stock Company Elektromreža Srbije) held a productive working meeting, focusing on the introduction of Guarantees of Origin (GOs) — electronic proof for consumers that energy comes from renewable sources. 📈 AD Elektromreža Srbije shared valuable insights from years of experience in issuing Guarantees of Origin (GOs). Soon, MEMO will begin issuing these certifications in line with European standards, supporting domestic companies as they expand into the European market. ✅ As part of this initiative, MEMO has joined the AIB - Association of Issuing Bodies as a scheme observer, promoting transparency and standardization in the energy sector across Europe. #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #Transparency #GOs
