Mreža žena u policiji u borbi protiv nasilja👮♀️ Danas je održana 3. konferencija Mreže žena u policiji Srbije „Od izazova do snage-Reci NE nasilјu u svim oblastima život˝. 🎯 Uloga žena u policiji je nezamenljiva! One svakodnevno preuzimaju ogromnu odgovornost da čuvaju bezbednost svojih zajednica. Njihova predanost je neprocenjiva u sprečavanju nasilja i podršci oporavku zajednica nakon kriza. 🤝 Ključ je u saradnji! Samo zajedno — uključivanjem svih relevantnih aktera, zajednica i onih najviše pogođenih — možemo stvoriti sisteme koji sprečavaju nasilje i grade sigurne i otporne zajednice. Hvala svim ženama u policiji na hrabrosti i predanosti u stvaranju bezbednijeg društva za sve nas!

📢 Kontinuirana edukacija za bolju zaštitu žena u situaciji nasilja Zajedno sa Pravosudna akademija, juče smo organizovali stručni skup “Život u kavezu bez rešetaka – Institucionalni odgovor na fenomen prisilne kontrole u porodično-partnerskim odnosima”. ⚖️ Na skupu su učestvovale sudije, tužioci koji rukovode grupama za koordinaciju i saradnju nadležnih institucija na slučajevima nasilja u porodici, predstavnici/ce centara za socijalni rad i policijski službenici/ce. Cilj je bio unapređenje znanja i razmene iskustava u prepoznavanju i reagovanju na prisilnu kontrolu, kao jednog od najsuptilnijih i najštetnijih oblika nasilja. It’s been decades since the women’s liberation movement began, yet, the reality for many women today remains just as dangerous and unjust as it was decades ago. As we approach the 30-year mark of the transformative Beijing Declaration for #genderequality and the empowerment of women and girls, we must confront the painful reality that progress has been at best slow. 🚀🌿 Treću godinu zaredom, Ministarstvo zaštite životne sredine i UNDP, uz podršku Global Environment Facility, nagradili su autore najboljih inovacija koje doprinose razvoju cirkularne ekonomije u Srbiji! 💡 Ukupan iznos od $170,000 dodeljen je za realizaciju 17 inovativnih ideja – 10 iz saradnje naučno-istraživačkih institucija i privrede, i 7 ideja udruženja građana, koje su usmerene na smanjenje otpada i očuvanje prirodnih resursa. 🔄 Zahvaljujući podršci GEF-a, EU u Srbiji i vlade Švedske, Švajcarske i Government of the Republic of Serbia u iznosu od ukupno $3 miliona, u poslednje 2 godine implementirano je 80 inovativnih ideja u oblasti cirkularne ekonomije. 🚒 Uz podršku EU u Srbiji vatrogasci i timovi Civilne zaštite u 🇷🇸 sada raspolažu novim vatrogasnim vozilima i opremom, spremni da efikasnije odgovore na krize, zaštite živote, domove i životnu sredinu. 🤝Cisterne, ukupne vrednosti 1,4 miliona €, pripale su upravama Sektora za vanredne situacije MUP-a Srbije u Pančevu, Kragujevcu, Valjevu, Užicu, Jagodini i Beogradu. Zahvaljujući tome što u rezervoare ovih cisterni staje 7000l vode i pene, pripadnici i pripadnice vatrogasno-spasilačkih jedinica širom Srbije moći će brže i efikasnije da stave pod kontrolu i ugase velike šumske i požare na otvorenom prostoru. How is international collaboration on AI shaping sustainable development? 🌿🚀 We were privileged to hear thoughts on this topic from ambassadors from leading European countries and key development partners of Serbia today at the Data Science Conference in Belgrade. Opening remarks were delivered by Yakup Beris, UNDP Serbia Resident Representative, followed by introductory speeches from H.E. Dominic Otway, Chargé d'affaires at the British Embassy and H.E. Emanuele Giaufret, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of EU to Serbia. Panel Discussion was moderated by Slobodan Marković, Digital Advisor at UNDP Serbia, and the distinguished speakers included: ▪️H.E. Anke Konrad, Ambassador of Germany to Serbia ▪️H.E. What connects Elon Musk’s Neuralink to the future of AI? 🤖 Neuro AI Con at Data Science Conference brought together a highly interdisciplinary group of researchers, from quantum computing pioneers to experts in neurolinguistics, to explore breakthroughs in biologically inspired neural networks. Hosted by our Vid Štimac and supported by DSC Europe, the event highlighted the transformative potential of spiking neural networks (SNNs)—capable of delivering energy efficiency improvements of 6 to 8 orders of magnitude, promising not only to reduce environmental impact but also make AI accessible to communities worldwide.   💥Transforming AI Hardware and Computing Victor Erokhin, Alexey Mikhaylov, and Danijela Marković presented groundbreaking advancements in neuromorphic systems. From developing memristive devices that replicate synaptic processes to building quantum neuromorphic circuits that push computational boundaries, their work is not just theoretical—it involves creating the hardware that makes these transformative technologies a reality, paving the way for AI systems that combine unparalleled efficiency with scalability.   💥Advancing Emotional and Cognitive Understanding Irina Karabulatova, Susanna Makerova, and Evgeniia Alshanskaia explored the intersections of emotional intelligence, language processing, and neurobiology. Their work reimagines how AI can interpret and adapt to human emotional and linguistic complexity, presenting innovative interdisciplinary research directions that bridge these fields.   💥Incorporating the Brain’s Complexity into AI Design Susanna Gordleeva and Srikanth Ramaswamy focused on the role of neuromodulation and neuron-astrocyte dynamics in replicating adaptive, self-regulating behaviors. Their insights lay the foundation for developing AI systems that reflect the brain’s unparalleled ability to learn, adapt, and manage complex tasks.   💥Exploring Human-Like Intelligence A panel featuring Srikanth Ramaswamy, Jordi Vallverdú, and Drazen Orescanin, moderated by Tarry Singh, examined the challenges and frontiers of designing AI systems that emulate human reasoning and understanding. They reflected on whether and when neuroscience and AI will converge to create systems capable of complex thought, adaptive behavior, and creative problem-solving.   💥A Vision for the Future Jordi Vallverdú and Max Talanov closed the event by exploring how biologically inspired AI could reshape the relationship between humans and technology.
