Synechron Serbia, in partnership with Devops Serbia, organized a MeetUp at our Belgrade office to connect DevOps experts and discuss the latest trends. Experienced experts Mark Cheret, Infrastructure and Security Operative/Exponential Coach, and DevOps Technical Lead Čedomir Krsmanović, shared their valuable insights with developers. During the sessions, we learned how a multi-layered defense strategy enables teams to balance speed and security by addressing vulnerabilities in pre-production. We also looked at the effects of the AI boom on site reliability engineering (SRE) and explored the State of DevOps Report from an SRE perspective. Last week, Synechron’s experts participated in Heapcon, a regional tech conference that brought together over 700 developers!  This year, educational sessions covered various topics, such as front-end engineering, secure software development, AI-driven tools and modern web technologies. Synechron’s teams competed to create innovative AI-based solutions during xPrize, Synechron’s global hackathon!  Congratulations to our Serbia-based team, Dušan Novaković, Milos Majstorovic and Petar Nikolic, who won 2nd place with their Nexus Trainer — an AI tool for career development and interview prep.  This year, 800 participants submitted 300 ideas across three categories: AI for Synechron, AI for Social Good, and AI for FinTech. Recently, Synechron’s Serbian team spent time in Šumadija, one of the most beautiful parts of Serbia. We enjoyed the stunning landscape, walking the trails of the Bukulja mountain and exploring Lake Garaško by kayak.
