The scaffolding was required to carry out work on the shotcrete surfaces of the boiler, including the ceiling height of 45 meters. The collected volume of scaffolding was 12 000 м3. POLATI PROJECTS JSC Ilim Group Koryazhma Branch is the the largest enterprise of the pulp and paper industry in Russia. POLATI, LLC mounted the scaffolding to ensure the shutdown of the repair of the digester «Camur-3». The construction of scaffolding was erected to the full height of the boiler, which is 50 meters. The purpose of scaffolding installation is to provide access to the entire inner surface of the boiler for its maintenance and repair. The duration of assembling consisted of 19 hours, and dismantling time was 8 hours, which, according to our data, is a record speed among such works. Equipment downtime was reduced by 37 hours. Our specialists suggested using the unique arched walkways and heavy-duty swivel jacks to increase the speed of installation and safety manual scaffolding.
