This is a truly charming little hotel on a tranquil street in Tours. Meticulously clean and well maintained, it is in an old manor house, on a lovely street. The hotel has a little courtyard and sits behind a traditional European wall and gate, into which a few cars, bicycles, and such can be kept by visitors. Guests can enjoy the little table outside for reading and the courtyard is charming with hydrangeas and other flowers. The room itself was small, but I was just by myself, so it was definitely sufficient. Everything is very clean and nice. The only drawback is a lack of air conditioning, so if this is important to the traveler, than one would need to think about that on hot summer days. I was fine with it, as there was a fan and an open window, even on a very unusually hot summer day, on the top floor. Breakfast is provided for a reasonable fee and consists of wonderful, fresh croissants, yogurt, and such. The hotel is in a wonderful area of old manor houses from the 1700 and 1800's. It is just wonderful to walk through the neighborhood and the hotel is very near the cathedral, which is just down the street. Wonderful, quaint place and a true European experience!
