I am thrilled to announce that I am awarded #AMR Stewardship course certificate for healthcare provider from OAZIS Health.It was enriching journey because it was equipped me with knowledge and skills about AMR global threats. Critical information were highlighted in that course , those are includes but not limited to key terminologies, history of antimicrobials, what is AMR and how it develop, basic facts about AMR and the threat it poses ,drivers of AMR, mechanism of resistance development , why do we need to act now ,actions needed to contain AMR, AMR and one health , Introduction to prescribing and dispensing stewardship , diagnostic stewardship , global efforts , communication and behavior change training . Previous predictions estimated that by the year 2050,if no adequate actions are taken , the annual death rate due to AMR would reach 10 million people worldwide and cost 100 trillion(Burki,2018),Therefore we need to act know . They are different drivers of AMR includes misuse and overuse of antimicrobials, poor IPC measures , poor access to quality affordable medicines and vaccines and diagnostics , lack of awareness and knowledge ;and lack of enforcement of legislation . we should unite and act now to combat that high pressing global threats , actions needed to contain AMR are done by combined efforts of individual, policy makers, Health professionals and healthcare industry examples of those actions are: to ensure a robust national action plan to tackle AMR, practice appropriate infection and prevention control (IPC) measures ,Avoid unnecessary prescriptions ,take medications as prescribed ,enforce vaccination, complete your treatment , public education and awareness campaigns .As we continues to work together to fight that global threat I would like to share you link to take that course. link: https://lnkd.in/dXMTsVZ8 .
