April 7th 2024 marks the start of Kwibuka 30, the 30th commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi, which began on April 7th 1994. The entire RfR family is with all Rwandan who lost their families and friends in the Genocide against the Tutsi."

Our partner Shooting Touch has worked tirelessly to bring basketball to rural Rwanda, using it as a vehicle for empowerment for youth and particularly women. They built their first court at our Community Library/Learning Center in Rwinkwavu in 2012. We have seen a profound change in attitudes about the role women play in their families and villages.
