Since 1979; DAO has sustained perpetual growth in the multi disciplinary fields of the built environment while continuously investing in people & technology. We are a team of integrated and trusted Planners, Architects, Designers, Engineers, Scientists and Environmentalists who are continuously searching for living models and paradigms to create environments rich in socio-spatial relations where people communicate interactively with their culture. Our philosophy lies in its belief that the produced work is an attempt towards reaching a level of humanity and sensitivity to the living environment, which is inspired by the teachings of Dr. Rasem Badran, our co-founder. DAO withstands a distinguished international presence in Urban Planning, Architecture, Interior and Landscape Design and Engineering consultancy with a 40+ years track record of local, regional and international clients, and accomplishments of diverse challenging projects from a wide range of sectors. Together our firm and its team members have been acknowledged through several awards such as: Agha Khan Award | Tammayouz Lifetime Award | International Property Award | Cityscape Award | The Green Era Award and other more. DAO is classified as First Class Grade A Consultant, and is an active member in many international associations such as the Saudi Council for Engineers (SCA), the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA), The Royal Commission for Riyadh City, A/E Business Council, Arab Association of Consulting Firms (AACF), and Federation of Consultants for Islamic Countries (FCIC). The firm is also recognized as an approved consultant with the World Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, UNHABITAT, USAID, Inter-America Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Saudi Development Fund, Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, as well as BADEA.
