The Embassy of Kenya, under the leadership of Ambassador H.E. Mohamed Ruwange hosted 61st Jamhuri Day reception, commemorating Kenya's final step in the struggle for freedom and independence. The newfound independence opened a new chapter for Kenya in writing its own history and shaping its identity socially, economically and politically. In his speech, Ambassador Ruwange stressed that Kenya, with over 60 years of foreign policy and diplomatic missions around the world, highly values its bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia. "The Republic of Kenya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continue to enjoy cordial diplomatic relations and partnerships since Kenya set up its first diplomatic presence in 1977. Our commitment in areas of mutual interest include but are not limited to good governance, universal health care, environment and climate diplomacy, economic and cultural diplomacy and most importantly, global peace and security." Mohamed Ramadhan Ruwange concluded his remarks by expressing gratitude to the Saudi officials, guests and embassy staff for their participation and contribution to taking Kenya-Saudi relations to the next level.
