PhD Candidate @KAUST in the (N/MEMS) field

يقول النبي ﷺ "من لا يشكر الناس لا يشكر الله" As our beloved Prophet ﷺ said: “He who does not thank people does not thank Allah.” As my PhD journey comes to an end, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the KAUST team of our world-class Nanofabrication Cleanroom led by Ken Kennedy and Menouer Saidani. This team has been the backbone of semiconductor research at KAUST and has made a remarkable impact, extending their expertise to other Saudi institutes. Their technical support has contributed to the current national initiatives to localize the semiconductor industry in the Kingdom, and I’m fortunate to have been part of this journey alongside my colleague KAUST researchers. My journey began five years ago, guided by Eng. Florencio pisig, who introduced me to the intricate world of lithography. His 17+ years of experience in the field gave me the solid foundation I needed and made him an invaluable mentor. As I advanced, I had the privilege of working with and learning from Camelia-Florina FLORICA, Erica Alvarez,Yasir Alnakhli, Nabeel Aslam and Ahad Syed. Each of them shared their exceptional industrial expertise and advanced skills, helping me develop the ability to fabricate semiconductor microchips, and truly appreciate the intricacies of this advanced technology. Later, I was fortunate to learn in-depth from Menouer Saidani and Dr. Syed Kazmi , who worked closely with me to optimize my fabrication processes. Their patience, guidance, knowledge sharing, and expertise were instrumental in helping me achieve my goals. In addition, I got mentored in the first 2 fabrication projects by my mentor Dr. Fahimullah Khan, whom i’m beyond grateful. Also, I’m thankful for the supoort I got from my KAUSTaian frineds who are fabrication experts: Abdullah Bukhamsin ,Hussein Hussein, and Lvjun Wang whom i learned a lot to advance in this feild. In conclusion, we are truly fortunate at KAUST to have this state-of-the-art facility (Nanofabrication Cleanroom), operated by a talented and dedicated team eager to train and support us. Thanks to them, we’ve been able to achieve groundbreaking outcomes in our research projects, furthering innovation and research in the Kingdom.
