🌿 Growing a Greener Future at Dahban Nursery! 🌿 We’re thrilled to share that Dahban Nursery is on track to introduce at least 60,000 high-carbon-capturing perennial plants by year's end! Our green warriors include species like Acacia tortilis, Moringa oleifera, Juniperus procera, and Ziziphus spina-christi. 🌱✨ Ongoing activities at the nursery include seed sowing, meticulous germination monitoring, and transplanting young plants from germination shed seed trays into 8-inch pots. With germination and establishment rates above 80%, we’re proud to see these efforts take root with great success! Our team encountered an unexpected situation during a routine terrestrial ecology walkover at one of our China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd projects in the Red Sea. A juvenile Sooty Gull was found entangled among stones, unable to fly, and at risk. The Leaf Global Environmental Services team quickly responded, carefully rescuing the bird and safely returning it to its nest. It greatly increases the chances of a successful rescue and helps to protect marine creatures and their environment. That’s why training and simulations are so important. Recently, abdullah kari, one of our dedicated experts and certified Marine Mammal Observer at Leaf Global Environmental Services, led a vital training session for employees from Red Sea Global and China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd. He guided them through simulation exercises, preparing them to respond quickly and effectively in rescue situations. The team learned proper techniques for handling stranded marine species, ensuring they are equipped to act when it matters most.
