NEOM and DataVolt have signed a landmark agreement at #LEAP25 to build the region’s first truly sustainable, net-zero AI factory campus in Oxagon. The establishment of a 1.5GW AI factory campus by DataVolt represents a major milestone in advancing the Kingdom’s vision for a sustainable, data-driven economy. Supported by an initial $5 billion investment, the first phase of the project is set to become operational by 2028. The campus will be powered by renewables-based energy and integrate cutting-edge cooling technologies, ensuring AI workloads are both efficient and environmentally responsible. Strategically located on the Red Sea coast, Oxagon provides the ideal foundation for AI-driven innovation, with access to sub-sea fiber optic cables providing global connectivity, cost-competitive renewable energy, and a thriving industrial ecosystem built for next-generation industries. The development of the 1.5GW net-zero factory campus marks a significant step forward in positioning Saudi Arabia as a global powerhouse for AI and digital infrastructure. At #WEF25, Vishal Wanchoo, CEO of Oxagon, joined Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, to discuss the success of the NEOM x McLaren Electric Racing partnership to date, driving impact-driven innovation beyond the circuit.   Drawing on expertise from their respective fields, the two business leaders explored the transformative role of innovative technology in enabling clean solutions and enhancing performance, productivity, and pace — whether in motorsports, advanced manufacturing, or integrated supply chain and logistics.   The session also showcased the Oxagon x McLaren Accelerator, a program fast-tracking next-generation innovations and demonstrating the power of cross-industry collaboration to drive meaningful change. Port of NEOM is a vital gateway linking NEOM, KSA, and the region to global markets. We recently engaged with Egypt’s trade and shipping community, including key stakeholders in the food and agricultural export sector — the Food Export Council (FEC), Agricultural Export Council - AEC, Port of Safaga and logistics leaders, to explore opportunities for enhanced trade collaboration. We also joined the Logistics Private Sector Engagement Council meeting, hosted by Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, which brought together over 90 representatives from government and private sectors to further strengthen trade networks.
