good staff and good hotel view

Just got done with our honeymoon at St. Regis Maldives and… WOW, what a perfect trip it was! When I say, there wasn’t a single thing that went wrong, I mean it. From the room, to the service… the weather, the snorkeling, the staff and the food — it was pristine. We stayed at both the beach villa and the overwater sunset villa. If you’re doing a longer stay, I recommend trying both! With the beach villa, it was awesome to have access to the beach right outside of your door and to be able to take a walk along the beach easily, as well. It was also great having a full private outdoor shower (along with an inside one, too), which you don’t get at the overwater villa. The overwater sunset villa, though — WOW! Absolutely worth doing if you’re in the Maldives. It’s incredible to be able to hop right into the ocean and snorkel immediately. Some of the best snorkeling on the island is at the end of the pier of the overwater villas, so staying in one of them makes it easier to get to. I also loved that the overwater villa had the bathtub directly facing the ocean so you get an amazing view while you soak. All that said, the trip wouldn’t have been what it was without our personal butler, Meera, who truly went way above and beyond to make us feel incredibly special and taken care of throughout our honeymoon. Every single day, we came back to our room to find something special waiting for us that was incredibly personal and thoughtful. Anything that we needed, she was there for us, and always with a big smile on her face. The staff that they hired to work at this resort truly made the experience what it was. I mean it, every single person we came across was an absolute angel — a true kindness and genuine warmth emanating from each person. If you were walking, someone passing by on a buggy would always stop to say hello, see how you were doing and see if you wanted a ride or if you needed anything. We enjoyed getting to know every worker that we came across and hope to see some familiar faces again when we return. The saddest part was saying goodbye to them! We also want to give a shout out to: Anoof, Ishaq, Vipul, Song, Sunny, Ameen, Ahil, Salvin, Nusrella, Bem, Shabab, Dan, Kaliman, Jobin, Amal, Kausar, Palla , Alex, lannuya, Novi, and Iris!!! We enjoyed chatting with you all so much! The breakfast was incredible, with the Maldivian breakfast being our favorite part. The sunsets were to die for — get to Whale Bar around 6:00 to get a seat at the edge with a view before it gets too crowded; the DJ playing Arabic house really creates the perfect ambiance. The snorkeling was incredible! The rooms were pristine and very spacious. The weather was perfect, and there were no bugs or mosquitoes. You had wifi access throughout the entire island that was fast and reliable. It felt like a simulation… a perfect bubble, incorporating all of the elements just right! What a dream trip. Absolutely worth the splurge and should be a bucket list destination for any

Nice resort, good service overall. Special thanks to our butler Angie. She is very responsive, organized and attentive. Really went beyond and above to make our stay a special one. Also the housekeeping staff is excellent. Food variety and quality is also good. The gala dinner could have been better given the price charged.

It's been a little over a month since we spent came here for our honeymoon and I still think about this stay to this day and when we could possibly come back... It's really been a bucket list item for myself and I was so happy that we came here because It truly lived up to the hype. First I'll get started with our room... Room: We were blown away when we arrived at our room from the stay. we were upgraded st regis suite and the over water bungalows were absolutely stunning and huge. There was a huge deck where you could walk right into the ocean as well as a separate guest bathroom, dining room, bedroom, and a walk in closet. Everything in the room could be controlled by a tablet so all lights , television and shades were all automatically controlled. The room was also always spotless from the moment we left our rooms to the time we got back sometimes in as little as an hour. Another thing that was great about the St. Regis and wish we had known this earlier is they provide you with almost everything. They have sandals, hats, sunscreen and even a tote bag. Basically, all you really need to bring is your swimsuits if you would like to enjoy any water activities. The snorkeling equipment is also complimentary and you can keep it in your room for the length of the stay which makes it super convenient as well. They also provide bikes for you to ride around the resort if you'd like to take that as well. Service: This is what stood out to me the most The service at the St Regis Maldives was incredible. We've stayed in some nice hotels but I think the St Regis set the benchmark with with butler service as well as the waitstaff every where we went. Our butler was Meera and she was incredible! I would highly recommend her to anyone that stays at the St. Regis. From the moment we landed in Male we were provided a video of here which let us know that she would be taking care of us for the time we were there. She was so accommodating and from the moment we got to the resort she escorted us around the whole island and gave us a history of the resort as well as the St Regis brand as well us letting us know where all the facilities were. She was always available at any time of day and would respond almost immediately. Anytime we needed a ride she or someone else would be there in a few minutes take you to where you needed to be. Meera would also just check in once in a while just to see how are stay was going. the same could not be said for any other resorts we've ever stayed at with "butler" service. There were numerous times where we were walking out of our villa where she would just happen to be driving by and offered us a ride. Also, whenever we left the room the housekeeper -Tharim was incredible. We would leave the room a few times a day and the room would magically be cleaned up and spotless with no sign of anyone being there. Tharim would also leave towel animals like monkeys and alligators which i can honestly say I'v

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! There are not enough words to describe the attention to detail we experienced between our villa attendant, shiyaz, and the most lovely butler Angie. Angie went above and beyond with every little thing. The st Regis was breathtakingly beautiful!! Was our favorite holiday yet.

This is one of the most incredible luxury resorts I have ever stayed at. The service is impeccable, particularly the butler service. Angela was our butler and she thought of every detail and went the extra mile to make our stay incredible. The villas themselves are huge and stunning and so secluded. This was our honeymoon and it was truly the perfect spot. Definitely worth staying in the over water villa. Food was great and it really is a magical place.

I am a Titanium member and will be lifetime platinum this coming year after several years of being an Ambassador. I am arriving in two days but I am concerned with the service prior to even checking in. I am coming from St. Regis New York City and have talked with someone twice now at St. Regis Maldives, Rashwn, who let me know the hotel will be fully booked while there. I was hopeful they would allow a switch to Ritz Carlton instead given they are fully booked. Request denied. I also sent request for massages and jet ski rentals during our stay to anticipate them selling out but NO REPLY and that was nearly a week ago. Concerned about follow through but hope to be pleasantly surprised and can update this review during our stay.

Such an amazing trip with outstanding service. Our butler Abanoub was awesome and went above and beyond to look after us and coordinate the proposal with my fiancé. Naja took some amazing photos we were able to put an album together with. Such a great experience and can’t wait to come back!

I had the most wonderful time at St Regis in the Maldives, where I had the pleasure of proposing to my now fiancé! I cannot emphasize enough how great the staff were, especially in preparing for this big moment! Our butler Abanoub helped with all of the behind the scenes coordination for the proposal, which took place on the beach with a private beach dinner to follow. It was flawless! Thank you Abanoub!! He managed to keep everything a surprise! I would also like to send a huge thanks to Naja for her incredible work capturing the moment in pictures, Zain and Prashant for the amazing beach dinner, Dina for her warm hospitality at Orientale (try the popcorn shrimp), Alex for his warm hospitality at the Whale Bar, and our villa attendant Almas for keeping the room immaculate. Last thing I wanted to say is the service has been so incredible. As a frequent traveler, I have never experienced as good service as we did here… oh and the breakfast spread at Alba is world class! We look forward to coming back soon!

Perfect experience. Our butler, Abanoud, took wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay, making sure we had everything we needed - including all information and tips we didn't know we would need! He was prompt, thorough, engaging, and very kind. The entire staff was wonderfully friendly and attentive, and we always felt everything was being taken care of. Our villa attendant Kausar kept our room clean and left hospitable messages that made us feel very welcome. The facilities are immaculate, beautifully designed, and perfectly suited for optimal rest and tranquility. The reefs were alive with tropical fish, the water clear and blue, the beaches pristine, the activities diverse and diverting. We loved every minute and are so glad we came!
