Addtech business area Electrification has acquired nanosystec GmbH. Nanosystec develops, produces and sells production equipment primarily for manufacture of opto-electronics and precision mechanics to customers in the data communications, medical technology and semiconductor industries. Our report for the second quarter is released! On the whole, we can summarise a favourable quarter with a high level of activity and continued growth. Overall, sales increased by 5 percent, 2 percent of which was organic. Our EBITA-margin was stable at a high level and the cashflow remained strong over the period. The high pace of acquisitions continued over the quarter and we strengthened our operations with three more acquisitions, while also signing agreements to acquire two more companies. Our well-diversified operations with entrepreneurial niche companies in strong positions is again demonstrating its strength, continuing to generate profitable growth in a partly challenging market, comments Niklas Stenberg CEO. Addtech business area Energy has acquired Unilite A/S. Unilite develops, manufactures and sells energy-efficient fire safety- and ventilation solutions for industrial, commercial and public buildings. Unilite complements the operations conducted with a focus on energy efficiency and safety within the Energy Products business unit, comments Åsa Skarbrandt, Business Unit Manager. Addtech business area Process Technology has acquired PGS Tec GmbH. PGS designs, assemble and install customised water and gas supply systems to pharmaceutical, industrial and laboratory customers. PGS will become part of and complement our operations within the Process Control business unit and strengthen our position in the European market, comments Claus Nielsen Business Area Manager, Process Technology. Our interim report for the first quarter was released this morning! Overall, the new financial year is off to a good start, with high levels of activity and strengthened profitability across the board. Despite a certain uncertainty in the market, sales increased by 7 percent, 2 percent of which was organic. It is satisfying to see that our long-term initiatives to increase the value added in our offering, to strengthen the product mix and, not least, to increasingly focus on profitable acquisitions, gives effect with EBITA increasing 19 percent with a continued strong margin of 15.3 percent (13.7). Our international expansion is continuing as planned and the rate of acquisitions in the beginning of the year has been high with a total of seven acquisitions, of which five took place outside the Nordic region. “Our entrepreneurial-driven companies are demonstrating their strength again, continuing to generate profitable growth in a challenging market”, comments Niklas Stenberg CEO.
