We are thrilled to announce that EcoDataCenter, through its large-scale data centre site EcoDataCenter 1, was named as the winner of the Urban Land Institute Europe Awards for Excellence 2024! The prestigious award was presented yesterday evening at the C Change Summit in Barcelona, and this is the first time a data centre has received the award. This year's GRESB results have been announced, and once again, the results confirm that our funds have strong ESG performance! We have obtained four stars for Fund III and Fund IV, which is a positive outcome. Fund V has been officially rated for the first time and has obtained three stars. We see that GRESB's requirements for governance, documentation, and data-driven follow-up are increasing. These outcomes enable us to sharpen our focus and further advance our efforts. Our results are truly a great achievement and a cross-team effort!

With this acquisition, Areim’s Nordic light industrial portfolio includes nearly 70 properties of 328,000 sqm lettable area. “This segment is an important part of our strategy and as our portfolio in the capital region continues to grow, we look forward to taking further advantage of the growing demand for central locations as well as increasing the overall attractiveness of the property for our tenants going forward”, says Petter Falck, Head of Areim Norway. We know that the school environment, both physical and psychological, is crucial to children's well-being. As active school property owners, our focus is to educate ourselves and to constantly improve our understanding and practices to enhance these environments. School creates lifelong memories, and as adults, we can shape children's futures. At Areim, we take bullying seriously. That is why we are a proud partner of Friends since 2021. Three children in every class will be bullied this school year. The adult world cannot let it continue. We must move forward now! Several European countries already have a national plan against bullying. It is time for Sweden to do the same. Therefore, we now urge politicians to take bullying seriously, ensuring that no child has to endure its lasting effects. Together we can stand up for the children. Sign Friends' petition at www.friends.se and support the call for a national anti-bullying plan in Sweden.

This Tuesday evening, we at Areim together with EcoDataCenter, Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) and Jonas Kjellstrand, had the unique opportunity to invite academia, politics and business to our office in Stockholm for a conversation about AI - for Sweden's future. The evening started with Nestor Maslej (Reasearch Manager, Stanford HAI), presenting the Stanford AI Index Report 2024, followed by a panel discussion with Carl-Henric Svanberg (Chariman, AI Commission Sweden), Amy Loutfi (Professor of Information Technology at Örebro University) and Staffan Truvé (CTO and Founder, Recorded Future), chaired by Peter Michelson (CEO of EcoDataCenter). The evening ended with fruitful roundtable discussions focusing on action and collaboration.   Why? Since 2018, we have invested in data centres through our ownership in EcoDataCenter, with the conviction that digitalisation will be central to the development of society - and we want to ensure that it happens in a responsible and sustainable way. Data centres play a central role in the AI value chain and for Sweden to make progress and accelerate development, the collaboration that we intended to start through the event is needed. Thanks to all participants and guests!
