We are happy to announce that we, in partnership with VGP, have successfully closed our second acquisition through our 50:50 joint venture. The joint venture, focusing on investments in prime logistics in Europe, targets EUR 1.5 billion in gross asset value and will invest mainly in Germany and France, but also in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. The portfolio will consist of sustainable logistics assets in strategic locations with VGP acting as asset and property manager. "Following our first JV closing earlier this year, we are thrilled to maintain our deployment pace in what we see as a highly attractive market segment with strong fundamentals. We are particularly excited to expand the JV's presence into France and, through this, say ’bonjour’ to Rouen. This marks a significant step in our growth journey", says Erik Vikbladh, CIO and partner at Areim. • We are delighted to announce that Areim has received the prestigious Energy Genius of the Year 2024 Award for effective and inspiring energy efficiency measures implemented in four restaurant kitchens across our three Finnish office properties. The award is presented annually by the Finnish Energy Authority, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, and Motiva. The initiative was part of a pilot project which involved the implementation of FlowHero Demand Control system which carefully monitors air quality and kitchen usage in real time, boosting ventilation when needed and identifying opportunities to save energy during off-peak hours. This has resulted in reduced energy consumption, enhanced indoor air quality, and increased tenant satisfaction. The annual energy savings across all three assets amount to 250 MWh, reducing the carbon footprint by 36 tonnes per year and decreasing energy consumption by 59 percent from previous levels. For reference, 1,000 sqm of office premises uses 35 MWh per year. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dZvzwXwf

  • This year's GRESB results have been announced, and once again, the results confirm that our funds have strong ESG performance! We have obtained four stars for Fund III and Fund IV, which is a positive outcome. Fund V has been officially rated for the first time and has obtained three stars. We see that GRESB's requirements for governance, documentation, and data-driven follow-up are increasing. These outcomes enable us to sharpen our focus and further advance our efforts. Our results are truly a great achievement and a cross-team effort!
