Asker’s 2024 Annual and Sustainability Report published today. 2024 was a year of growth and great activity in which Asker took several important steps towards strengthening its position as a leading provider of medical products and solutions to the healthcare sector in Europe. During the year Asker completed 12 acquisitions, expanded into three new countries, and took several additional steps to advance progress in the healthcare sector. This year, the sustainability report is following the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), enhancing transparency and comparability for our stakeholders. Happy to announce our 50th acquisition since 2019! We are excited to welcome Hospital Services Limited (HSL) and their great team to Asker and are looking forward to drive progress in European healthcare together! HSL a leading specialist distributor and services provider of medical equipment and related supplies, maintenance services and repairs to hospitals across Ireland and the UK and has 175 employees and approximately SEK 800m in net sales. #healthcare #medtech

Summary in English of Aktuell Hållbarhet's article below: Asker’s Head of ESG, Sanna Norman, is nominated to the award Sweden's best sustainability manager, which is presented by Aktuell Hållbarhet, a leading sustainability magazine in the Nordics. Next to Sanna, three other finalists are also named: Atusa Reza, Sindi/Brunswick, Edvard Molitor, Port of Gothenburg and Erik Wottrich, Tele2. The winner will be announced in February. The candidates in the competition have been evaluated by a jury based on four criteria: Achieved Business Value, Achieved Sustainability Value, Leadership and Innovation and Creativity. This is the tenth year that Sweden's best sustainability manager is appointed. How do you view your role as a sustainability manager? "As a sustainability manager, I see my role as a catalyst for change. It's about driving behavioural changes with a strong belief that our work has a long-term positive impact on business, people, and the environment. I believe we must be the change we want to see in the world, especially since many people and the environment do not have the opportunity to influence important issues for the future of the earth and humanity." What results have you achieved in terms of sustainability benefits? "We have, as one of the first companies in our industry, mapped and calculated emissions across our entire value chain and set science-based targets. This has enabled us to come up with solutions to reduce emissions in the product groups that generate the highest emissions." Have you made any innovative sustainability initiatives you would like to highlight? "We have engaged in development projects with suppliers to offer solutions for partially reusable operation kits. We collaborate with suppliers to reduce their energy use and switch to non-fossil energy sources."
