Introducing the Swedish ATMP National Project coordinated by Anna Falk and Lund University, 'StartCell'. https://lnkd.in/gBjUA8yg As a complement to IndiCell, StartCell aims to increase access to high quality, commercially relevant iPSC start material. This is a particular challange for this type of cellular therapy, where 'phase appropriate' can't apply to the start material, unless you want to lose a lot of time and money in the development, the commercially informed choice needs to be made from the start! Introducing digiSafe, the Vinnova funded National project aimed at creating digitalised AI analytics tools for safer ATMPs. The project uses AI models to assess the safety of ATMPs and to develop tests to predict success, identify novel safety biomarkers and to better control processes for improved scaleability. The project is coordinated by Jane Synnergren at the University of Skövde and includes partners RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, VERIGRAFT and SciCross. The last open core team meeting of the ATMP2030 project is underway! A great summary of what this project has achieved over the last 5 years towards the vision to make Sweden leading in ATMP by 2030 😍 ......and who takes over the baton for different initiatives. The progress over these years of decision makers not really knowing what ATMPs are to now being mentioned in government media releases, we are heading in the right direction! The ATMP Sweden platform will continue to be the central communication contact for the field with Föreningen ATMP Sweden and the Samordningsfuktion maintaining the national network from a 'bottom up' and 'top down' perspective, to ensure the right decisions are made based on the real need. The future is bright!
